Areas of flooding could develop in west central Georgia tonight into Monday due to 1 to 2 inches of additional rainfall. Stronger storms that move over the same locations could produce as much as 4 inches. Be mindful of the potential for flooding and never try to cross a flooded roadway.
Plenty of rainfall is expected in Georgia through Tuesday night due to multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms. Additional rain totals between 1 and 2.5 inches are expected, with isolated amounts over 4 inches possible. Isolated flash flooding or river flooding may occur.
The potential for severe weather will continue into Monday. Strong or severe storms could occur anytime on Monday, but the greatest risk is expected Monday afternoon. All hazards, including damaging wind gusts, hail, and or a brief tornado are possible.
