An area of low pressure formed near the South Carolina coast and moved northeast along the US Atlantic coast through October 27. An area of low pressure moved across parts of New York and Pennsylvania October 25 through the 26th. These two system consolidated into a strong Nor’easter October 26th producing heavy rainfall across parts of Central New York and northeast Pennsylvania (see animation below).
