It remains hot this afternoon as temperatures once again climb well into the 90s to low 100s. Late afternoon showers and thunderstorms are possible for the western half of the area. The best chance of rainfall will be near the Davis Mountains.
Temperatures continue to be warm around dusk this evening with most locations still in the upper 80s to low 90s. Thunderstorms are possible from southeast New Mexico and the western Permian Basin south to the Presidio Valley which may hamper evening plans.
