Hot and dry weather continues today for the 4th of July. Those spending time outdoors should stay hydrated with water and take frequent breaks out of the sun to minimize risk of heat related illness.
The forecast for 9 PM tonight calls for mostly clear skies, dry conditions, and temperatures ranging from the upper 80s to middle 90s.
Tonight will be mostly clear to partly cloudy with lows in the 70s to around 80 degrees.
Hurricane Beryl will continue to move west-northwestward while gradually weakening over the next couple of days as it approaches the Yucatan Peninsula. The forecast uncertainty then increases as Beryl enters and moves across the southern Gulf of Mexico on Saturday morning as a tropical storm. Beryl is forecast to restrengthen into a hurricane sometime over the weekend . Expect increasing coastal impacts at Texas beaches later this week into the weekend. Stay tuned through the period for the latest information on Beryl.
Warm and humid conditions continue through Friday. Friday night into Saturday, some isolated showers will move into parts of the Hill Country and Central Texas as a stalling front to the north sends out convective outflows southward. A few areas nearest the coast could see a few pop up rain showers each day along the sea-breeze but significant rain is not expected through this weekend. Potentially better chances may arrive early next week after a tropical cyclone moves into the Gulf of Mexico.
