Current Flood Watches: Issued when Minor, Moderate, and/or Major flooding of numerous creeks and streams is expected to develop sometime over the next 24-48 hours.
Current Flash Flood Warnings: Issued when rapid rises on one or more streams is expected to imminently cause Minor, Moderate, or Major flooding, creating a serious threat to life and property. Flash flooding is expected to occur within 6-8 hours from the initial stream response to heavy rainfall and last for less than 6-10 hours once Minor Flood Stage is reached.
Current River Flood Warnings: Issued when Minor, Moderate, or Major flooding is imminent or ongoing along stream reaches with forecast services available.
Current Flood Warnings: Issued when slower and steady rises on one or more streams is expected to imminently cause Minor, Moderate, or Major flooding, creating a serious threat to property. The flooding is expected to last well beyond the causative rain event, typically persisting for 10-36 hours once Minor Flood Stage is reached.
Current Flood Advisories: Issued when slow or rapid rises on one or more streams are expected to cause the stream to exceed bankfull and cause nuisance flooding of adjacent low-lying areas.
