Q: Why do we have StormReady® Communities?
A:
Ninety percent of all federally declared disasters are weather related, leading to around 500 deaths per year and nearly $14 billion in damage. The National Weather Service has designed StormReady® to help Americans guard against the ravages of severe weather. StormReady® is a program intended to arm America's communities with the communication and safety skills necessary to save lives and property.

You must meet the criteria. You may work with our staff to obtain help on the requirements and how to fulfill them. You can then apply for certification using the form below.
