Severe Thunderstorms Across the Central Plains; Hot Conditions in the Southern Plains and Lower Mississippi Valley

Severe thunderstorms are expected mainly from Kansas into northern Missouri and into Iowa Tuesday. Damaging winds will be the most likely threat, with large hail possible. An Enhanced Risk (level 3 of 5) of severe thunderstorms is in effect. The Integrated Services Division (ISD) provides support to the Western Region field offices by:

providing operational IDSS guidance
managing the WR Regional Operations Center (WR ROC)
managing regional programs on weather, water, and climate
providing guidance on the implementation and interpretation of national policies and procedures
developing regional policies and guidance

The Integrated Services Division consists of both the Operations Branch and the Services Branch.
